Censorship of Hate Speech in Australia
Under the Federal Racial Discrimination Act (RDA), complaints about "hate speech" can be taken to the Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Commission (HREOC). Various state laws also cover the area.

- Apparently Toben has appealed to the full bench of the Federal Court. I really can't see the appeal being successful, but the Adelaide Institute site is still there...

This decision is not as bad as the HREOC judgement - it reduces scope to particular documents and/or ideas, doesn't include obnoxious demands for an apology, etc. But it's still a totally unwarranted restriction on Toben's freedom of speech.
